KORAUS is an independent Korean-learning project based in Melbourne, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the KORAUS website and waitlist.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. We also store the status of your signup, how you signed up, and the dates the record was created or updated.
Our hosting platform records basic site traffic, such as page views and unique visitors, and may process standard technical logs needed to run and protect the website.
How we use your information
We use this information to:
- manage the KORAUS waitlist;
- tell you when KORAUS launches;
- send the daily lessons you signed up for after launch;
- respond to questions or privacy requests; and
- operate, protect and improve the website.
Email consent and unsubscribing
By submitting the waitlist form, you agree to receive KORAUS launch and lesson emails. When email delivery begins, every email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by emailing koraus.au@gmail.com.
Storage and service providers
Waitlist records are stored in a database attached to the KORAUS site. We may use service providers to host the website, store data and deliver email. They process information as needed to provide those services. KORAUS does not sell or rent your personal information.
The website, database and technical logs may be processed or stored outside Australia because the hosting platform does not currently offer data residency for Sites.
How long we keep information
We keep your email and related subscription record while you are on the waitlist or subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, except where limited retention is required for legal, security or operational reasons.
Access, correction and complaints
To ask what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or make a privacy complaint, email koraus.au@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will review your request or complaint and respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as KORAUS and its service providers develop. The latest version will be posted here with a new effective date.
